Daniel is the Branch Manager in the Australian Apprenticeships Reform Branch in the Federal Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations. He was previously responsible across all aspects of Australian Apprenticeships and in DEEWR has led the Quality Teaching Branch in Schools, worked on the Taskforce put together after ABC Learning collapsed and also led the Office for Youth. Before DEEWR/DEST, Daniel worked in the Transport and Regional Services Department, the Department of Finance, the Housing and Regional Development Department and for CSIRO.

Kym Peake joined Skills Victoria as Deputy Secretary in early 2010.
Before moving back to Victoria, Kym worked in the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet for 18 months as the executive coordinator, Productivity and Inclusion and as senior departmental advisor, Policy Liaison to the Prime Minister’s Office.
Kym has extensive experience working at a State and Commonwealth level, leading complex policy, legislation and service delivery reforms. In Victoria, Kym led reforms for at risk children and families, with a focus on valuing the strengths of every family, ensuring services meet the needs of vulnerable groups and addressing barriers to social and economic participation.
Kym also headed up a public sector governance practice at KPMG. In this role, Kym advised governments in Australia and Dubai on range of governance and strategy issues relating to urban development, affordable housing, emergency services, approaches to social regulation and the integration of health research, education and clinical service delivery.

Di Booker is Director Policy for the Office of the Australian Qualifications Framework Council.
Di’s previous experience was in change management roles and working with international students and international projects for TAFE SA.

MARK CALLAGHAN joined WorldSkills Australia (WSA) in October 2005 and was appointed CEO in November 2006.
Mark is committed to continually improving all aspects of WSA’s core business – the competition process – to ensure that the WorldSkills Australia programs continue to be an essential element of skill development and contribute to Australia’s economic growth through recognition and promotion of world class skills.
Prior to WSA, Mark had extensive experience in operations and project management and major event operations – including Olympic and Commonwealth Games. Mark has a bachelor of Construction Management and has 10 years experience as a construction project manager.
Mark is a board member of the Australian Overseas Foundation and sits on the National Executive of VET Network Australia.
Mark lives in Melbourne with his wife and three sons.
